Register for the MITRE IoT Challenge
How to Register for the MITRE IoT Challenge
Step 1. Read the Eligibility Overview and complete the registration form below. Think about what kind of expertise you need on your team, including knowledge of signal processing, home automation IoT protocol knowledge, and application operation. We are looking for innovative solutions, which could come from any discipline or combination of disciplines.
Step 2. After you submit your team registration, we will send you a Participant's Agreement and Challenge Rules.
Step 3. When we have received a signed Participant's Agreement from you and verified your eligibility, we will send you instructions on how to download the challenge data and submit answers, the scoring rubric, and a submission key.
Step 4. We will open access to the recordings on November 16 at noon EST. Each team with an accepted registration will be given access to radio frequency (RF) capture data from a model home running a variety of home automation IoT devices. The first recording will be a baseline RF capture of the environment. The second recording will be a challenge RF recording in which IoT devices have been added, removed or modified. Each team must answer a series of questions about the baseline and challenge recordings, which will allow MITRE to assess the team's algorithm for uniquely identifying devices.
